This site exists primarily to support the chapter ‘The Gardens of the French Gardening Craze, 1908-1914’ in Digging Deeper: Postgraduate research papers in Garden History (Birkbeck Garden History Group, 2019). It carries the full list of French gardens referred to in that chapter.
It also tries to give a flavour of the French Gardening Craze – and of the research project that led to its rediscovery.
